ABOUT eECa
[UPDATED]
Since its first establishment in 2006, eECa has somewhat expanded. The name eECa, which reflected the name of the first 4 people in the group has evolved to become EEcafe with the establishment of this website around May of 2007. Since then, EEcafe has also successfully dragged a few artists to join the group, either as a permanent member, or a constant collaborative partner. The profile of these new members can be read in the eECaFE+ section.
[OLD]
eECa consists of four
deviantart artists: e1n,
Eggy,
Chang, and
ameru. the group was formed
because the members have a certain genre/style that they're particularly
good at, and forming a group is a good way for one to complement what
the other ones are lacking. e1n specializes in drawing bishie and
(despite being of the male species) some non-explicit yaoi. Eggy
specializes in drawing explicit/non-explicit hentai. Chang specializes
in monsters and guro. ameru is still having an identity crisis, although
recently she's developing some guro fetish.
as a group name, "eECa" was
picked partly because the members believe that a group name should be
simple enough for all of its members to remember. the members agreed that a group name should not create more complications
to our already-complicated life in this universe, and so they combined
the first letter in their names to form e E C a.
eECa started out without the "a" part. eEC was established in may of
2006 when weekly SHONEN JUMP released an inconceivably, unbearably lame
chapter of naruto. the three initial members of the group then released
the first
ever long strip featuring e1n, Eggy, and Chang. in this strip and
the next few, e1n was still a human. it wasn't long until the group decided
that a human being is overly complicated to draw, and consequently e1n
was turned into a panda, which he remained as until now.
during many early doodlechat sessions, which eEC use as
a tool to make fun of just about everything (especially Chang's short
arms), ameru kept making cameos. as a result, in september of 2006, eEC
decided to bring her in as a part of the group by
officially
turning her into a cat. eEC then obtained an extra "a" at the end
and became the eECa as we know today.
the group's main difficulty at the moment is the fact
that its members are scattered across northern america, and so the
communication is mainly done through the internet. however, they hope to
one day establish a real studio where the members can physically meet
and collaborate on many things (or kill each other, whichever works).
eECa members share the same great passion for humor,
which they always try to incorporate in everything they produce. they
strive to entertain readers with amusing art and comics, while pissing
off a few hardcore narutards along the way. in any case, look forward
to the day eECa becomes a physical studio in 2561.
