e1n first picked up a pencil for drawing purposes back in 4th grade because he was extremely obsessed with Akira Toriyama's DragonBall. he then gave up drawing altogether in 7th grade because he felt like there was no improvement. then during his second year in college, he came across Oda's One Piece, which inspired him to pick up a pencil and start drawing again. he has been drawing constantly since then.
style-wise, he prefers to adapt Eiichiro Oda's attention to little wacky details
and comical approach, as well as Akira Amano's pretty boys and smooth fabric
movements. he enjoys drawing perspectives and backgrounds, although the
process can be quite a profane and violent one. e1n loves drawing hands
the most, especially the fingers, not because he has some sort of
fetish, but because he thinks that of all the parts on a human body, the
fingers is the one with the highest degrees of freedom.
e1n prefers to do his drawing traditionally, meaning ink / pencil on a
piece of paper, with extremely minimum digital touch-up. one can say
he's a purist when it comes to this. he also prefers to keep his work
uncolored because to him, coloring is a futile effort. not colorblind,
but he has been abundantly blessed with the inability to pick
appropriate color. using whatever is left of the stipend money he gets as a physics graduate student, he picked up some gray copic markers to add some depth into
his b/w drawings. he has now stepped up from b/w to grayscale.
eECa is the first doodlegroup that e1n has ever been a part of, and he hopes to eventually turn eECa into a real manga studio with some sort of physical establishment. it is actually one of
his five dreams. the other four include having a family, attending a
manchester united football game, meeting oda in person, and having a
panda as a pet.
